A nice hotel. A taxi from the airport was 3,300 yen. It was a little expensive for me as I was traveling alone. When I asked the information desk at the airport if I wanted to go to the Kokusai Hotel, I was told that there were no more buses, so I took a taxi. I checked later and found out that there was a bus every 10 minutes from the airport to Hakodate Station, which was close to the hotel. The young woman at the information desk was unfriendly. It was a 600 yen taxi ride from Hakodate Station to the hotel, and I did the same on the way back. It was about a 5-minute walk. The hotel restaurant was also pretty good. Both the seafood bowl set meal and the eel rice bowl set meal for breakfast were delicious. The buffet wasn't bad either...just like a normal hotel. You can walk to the entrance to the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway. There is a Hakodate beer nearby, so it's recommended for local beer lovers. There was a conveyor belt sushi restaurant relatively close by, but it was closed on Wednesdays. Many stores were closed on Wednesdays. I had no choice but to eat gyoza and wonton noodles at the ramen shop across the street...it was not tasty, depending on your taste, so I made a mistake. The gyoza was just huge. Might be good for young people!?

The location is good, being less than a 10-minute walk from Hakodate Station and about a 10-minute walk from the Red Brick Warehouse area. It is a large hotel that has been in business for over 50 years, and it has a calm and very nice atmosphere. There is a laundry (fee is reasonable) on-site, and you can check the availability and closing time on the TV in the room, which was very convenient. The breakfast buffet had so many items and varieties that I couldn't eat everything, and I enjoyed it very much. However, the taste and quality of the seafood was disappointing, which I was hoping for. There was a line of people waiting for a seat around 7:00. At breakfast, I was given a 100 yen service coupon that can be used at the store in the building, so I used it to buy souvenir sweets. If you stay in a room in the West Wing, it is a long way from the large public bath and restaurant, so if you need one, it is better to request a room in the main building in advance. The hotel's parking lot is 1,000 yen per night. There is also a paid parking lot nearby for 400 to 500 yen.

I was excited by the spacious lobby with a sense of grandeur. The morning market, Kanamori Red Brick Warehouse, and Mount Hakodate Ropeway are all within walking distance, making it very convenient. There are several buses to the airport, but you can board them in front of the hotel, which was great for when you have a lot of luggage on the way back. I was impressed by the attitude of trying to improve the issues pointed out in the reviews here. This time, we stayed on the last day of Golden Week, so it wasn't particularly crowded, but I thought it was good that you could check the congestion situation of the large public bath on the TV, and that you could get a numbered ticket for breakfast by QR code while in the room. There was no outlet by the bed, so there was an extension cord, which was convenient to use, but it was in a bag in the drawer, so some people may not notice it. The breakfast was delicious, but there was no place to put the tray when taking the food, so when I wanted to use both hands, such as when serving soup, I had to put it in the small space that was available, which was inconvenient. The staff were all very kind, and overall it was a very good hotel. Thank you for your help.

It was a great location, within walking distance of the Red Brick Warehouse, Hakodate Station, and even the ropeway if you put in a bit of effort. There were also several convenience stores nearby, which made it very convenient. I was happy with the salmon roe at the breakfast buffet. There was a wide variety, and everything was delicious.

I stayed here on a family trip during Golden Week. Since I have a disability, the bath in the room was spacious and I was able to relax. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes and I was able to enjoy it. I was also able to board the bus to Hakodate Airport right in front of the hotel, which was very helpful.

I stayed here for two nights on a weekday in early April. It was a so-called economy-priced stay, but it was reasonably spacious, I could lie down on the three-seater sofa, and it was well-cleaned. In particular, the water in the air purifier had been drained and was clean, so I was able to use it without worry. If the water pool is dirty, you won't want to move it. The bed is a little higher on the floor, so it might be a little dangerous if you're not used to it. I asked the front desk, but they were happy to help me out, and I'm grateful. Everyone has mentioned the popular breakfast, so it's up to you to decide whether to have a buffet or a bowl. I had a bowl on the second day, and I was happy to have seafood and eel while drinking sake. It was a great location, and I was very satisfied with my stay in Hakodate.
