Hotel Nord Otaru is located almost in the center of the west coast of Hokkaido, in an area overlooking Ishikari Bay. The most convenient way to Access the hotel is by rapid train from New Chitose Airport. The hotel is located right in front of the historic Otaru Canal, which once flourished as a fishing port, and is about a 7-minute walk from Otaru Station. Many of the surrounding buildings have been left as they were and are being reused as restaurants and shops.

Sizzle is a live buffet restaurant that will delight all five senses. The lunch buffet offers 70 colorful Japanese and Western dishes, mainly using ingredients from Hokkaido. Enjoy your Food while looking out over the Otaru Canal. There is also a bar called Duomo Rosso on the top floor (7th floor). Enjoy a blissful moment while looking out over the night view of Otaru Port and the North Canal. The adjacent Hotel Sonia Otaru has a main restaurant that offers Ezo-mae sushi made with Hokkaido brand ingredients, a grilled bar, and a sake and wine bar, as well as a specialty coffee shop that serves coffee in a French press.

The hotel was right in front of the canal cruise. There was a welcome drink and it was a very conveniently located hotel. There was also a LeTAO cafe nearby, and it was about an 8-minute walk to Otaru Station. I made a reservation after reading reviews that there was Hot springs, but when I asked at check-in I was told there wasn't one, which was a bit of a shock. But it was a very nice hotel. The night view was very beautiful.

The room was small and it was hard to find a place to open the carry-on bag, but I felt it was good value for money. It's old, but it's well cleaned, so it's ok. The exterior and lobby have a nice Showa-era romantic atmosphere. The breakfast isn't luxurious, but they have some dishes that give you a taste of Hokkaido. Overall, it's a good value hotel considering the price.
Sandfish, Sandfish
The room was right in front of the Otaru Canal, and the view of the canal at night was great. The bathtub and the washing area were separate, so it was great to be able to soak in the bathtub. The all-you-can-eat seafood breakfast was filling from the morning.

The room, the staff, the breakfast, and the bath in the room. It was my first trip with my sister. Thanks to this wonderful hotel, it was a fun and wonderful trip. I would definitely like to stay here again. The sunrise from the observation lounge was also wonderful (^-^)
