Shiobara is a popular tourist destination with easy Access from Tokyo and a spectacular view of nature all year round. Located on a hill overlooking the scenery of Shiobara, "Hottarakashi no Yado Yufuri Shiobara" is a place where you can spend some time relaxing and enjoying the baths. The hotel features a calm atmosphere with tasteful stonework throughout the entrance, lobby, garden, open-air bath, and more. Right in front of the main entrance is a bathtub with a natural spring. The spring water is chloride bicarbonate, which is said to have a skin-beautifying effect by removing dead skin cells, and is known as beauty water. Please spend a relaxing time soaking in the free-flowing Hot springs.
There are many sightseeing spots within walking distance of the hotel. "Yuppo no Sato," located about a six-minute walk away, is an experiential hot spring facility where you can enjoy one of Japan's largest foot baths, using hot Hot springs. In addition to relaxing in the 60-meter-long foot bath corridor, you can also enjoy a stroll through the garden. In addition, it is about a three-minute walk to Myoun-ji Temple, where colorful peonies bloom in large flowers in May, and about a ten-minute walk to Gensan Cave, a historic limestone cave where the Genji clan, pursued by Yoritomo, are said to have hidden away. Why not drop in and take a look?
A 15-minute drive will take you to Momijidani Suspension Bridge, famous as one of the largest suspension bridges on the main island of Japan. Mori Station is also nearby, and you can purchase wild plants, vegetables, and fruits delivered directly from the source at the local produce shop and direct sales outlet. Hako no Mori Play Park, where you can enjoy leisure activities to your heart's content, including an athletic field and barbecue area surrounded by nature, is about a 10-minute drive away. If you go a little further, Nasu Senbonmatsu Farm, which boasts a vast area of land equivalent to 178 Tokyo Domes, is about a 20-minute drive away. We also recommend trying the milk and ice cream made from freshly squeezed raw milk. Please use it for your sightseeing trip to Shiobara.

It's more like a workcation plan, and the rooms are on either side of the hotel. Instead of the low chair and table by the window like in the other rooms, there is a proper chair and a tall, wide table, and there is also a table tap with about four outlets and an LED desk light, which is very convenient! The other rooms are 10 tatami mats and this one is 8 tatami mats, but the layout itself is a long and narrow room, so there is not much difference. However, there is one big problem! If you look back at the website, you will see that it is listed in the description of the room facilities, but for some reason it is not a heated toilet, but just a simple style. Why? Other than that, it is perfect! However, I can relax in the spacious Hot springs without Food, and there is no problem with the facilities in the building (I think there is coffee service), so this style is really comfortable and satisfying.

I love Hot springs in Shiobara and visit various inns and hotels every year, but this was my first time staying there without meals. Not only is the price very reasonable, but you can relax in the room and enjoy Hot springs at your own pace. The water temperature is relatively comfortable for Shiobara, so you can stay in the water for a little longer without getting a hot spring. You can also watch ABEMA videos on TV. It might be a good idea to prepare Food and stay for several nights. If you're looking for a great value for money trip, this is a good option.

Stayed from 7 to 9 May 2025. Very reasonable. The bath is large and I personally find it lukewarm, but I guess this temperature is popular with everyone. If you get closer to where Hot springs is, it's quite hot. If you don't like hot water, I think you can use this as a base to go to various places.

It seems to be an old hotel that has been renovated. There is still a Showa-era atmosphere in many places, but it was well-cleaned and well-maintained, so it was a pleasant stay. Hot springs, which flows directly from the source, was spacious and relaxing. The coffee was also good, probably because they used good beans, as it was delicious, unlike the bitter coffee you get at business hotels. The staff were very friendly, and my wife and I are talking about staying two nights in a row next time and taking a walk around the area. For that reason, it is an inn that we would like to stay at again.

Although it was a nice, unattended stay, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and the free coffee and homemade Hot springs eggs and dumplings were fun.

Accommodation Record April 23, 2025 Yufuri Shiobara I stayed at Yufuri Shiobara for the first time. It was 5,800 yen per night, including a frozen lunch box (2 meals in total, dinner and breakfast). There were 6 types of lunch boxes to choose from: Salmon Saikyo-yaki Lunch Box, Yangnyeom Chicken Lunch Box, Mackerel Miso-boiled Lunch Box, Pork Ginger-fried Lunch Box, Chicken and Cashew Nuts Stir-fried Lunch Box, and Mapo Vermicelli Lunch Box. If I stay here again, I will stay without meals. There was 1 indoor bath and 1 outdoor bath for men and women. It is a bath for beautiful skin, with 299 metasilicic acid. I had been in Kojika no Yu twice the day before, and my face and arms were already smooth, so I couldn't feel the effect of 299 metasilicic acid. Although it is advertised as a carefree inn, the front desk staff are polite, and in the lobby on the first floor there is a free billiard table, free coffee and tea, and dumplings (150 yen each) that are grilled on a small hibachi. The rooms are clean, and even though they are units, the bathroom and toilet are separate, which is nice. Being able to watch YouTube was also a big plus. The Wi-Fi was also perfect. It was also convenient that towels were prepared in plastic basket bags for each person.
