It is a 3-minute walk from Takada Station on the Myoko Haneuma Line, which connects Naoetsu Station and Myoko Kogen Station in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, and a 15-minute drive from Joetsu Takada Interchange. It is in a great location where the station front street, which runs straight from the station, intersects with Honmachi Street. Cafe & Restaurant Allegro, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is popular for its weekend lunch buffet, which changes its theme with each season. The area around the hotel is home to Takada Park, known as one of Japan's three best night cherry blossom viewing spots, and has the feel of a castle town, with townhouses from the Edo period still standing. The Takada Sekaikan movie theater from the Meiji period is still in operation, and you can enjoy old-fashioned film screenings while immersing yourself in the retro atmosphere. This hotel is also a convenient base for leisure activities, such as swimming in the sea in summer and winter sports in winter.

It's about a 3-minute walk from Takada Station, and there's a Lawson convenience store right in front of it. There are many restaurants and izakayas in the area, so it's convenient. The hotel itself is old, but the quality of the breakfast (1,500 yen) is high, so it's very useful. (Addendum) Breakfast is 1,800 yen if you make a reservation the day before, but the price has increased a little to 2,000 yen on the day.

Stayed during the long weekend. Check-in was smooth and not particularly crowded. I booked a smoking room by mistake, but they were happy to change it. The room was old and not very spacious, but the shower head was larger and the TV was upgraded to Android TV. The selling point of Art Hotel is the breakfast. There was a wide selection of items, and I was very satisfied with the breakfast. It is located close to Takada Station, but there are only a few restaurants around the station, so it is not very convenient.

I made a reservation for two nights without meals, but when I had lunch at the restaurant in the hotel it was so good that I immediately made a reservation for breakfast on the second day at the front desk. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and I had a comfortable stay.

It is relatively close to Takada Station, so you can use the train and bus. The facility is very clean, as they also host weddings.
