- From the Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange on the Kan-Etsu Expressway: about 90 minutes.
- From the Usui-Karuizawa Interchange on the Kan-Etsu and Joshin-Etsu expressways: about 80 minutes.
- From the Ueda-Sugadaira Interchange on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway: about 70 minutes.

草津温泉への初めての旅行で旅行しました。湯めぐりを利用して草津温泉を堪能出来ました。
湯畑の前なので立地は最高です。客室から夜の湯畑ライトアップも見れます。ホテルリゾートの露天風呂は広くて綺麗でした。亀の井ホテルの風呂は狭いです。大東館の風呂は広くて良かったです。

昨年4月にも大東館さんに宿泊しましたが、今回5月に又行く事にしました。
建物、部屋、温泉は昔乍らの古さを感じますが何一つ不便な事は感じませんでした。
食事もバイキングの種類の豊富さにも満足、温泉も本館の方は風情を感じて良かったです。
又近くの亀の井ホテルの温泉も楽しめて、シャトルバスで姉妹店のホテルの温泉も楽しめたし草津温泉では最高なホテルだと思います。

悪い口コミを拝見してドキマキして泊まりました。が、ホテルは年期が経っているけど掃除もしっかりされてました。湯畑が目の前で立地がよく食事も普通に美味しかったです。
ブッフェ会場のスタッフさんはお若かい方が多く感じのよい人ばかりでした。
浴場のお湯は透明でトロッとしてます。
肌がすべすべに光りました。
残念だったのは、敷布団がぺったんこで腰が痛くて全然寝れなかったのでマットレスを下に足してくれると嬉しいですね。

湯畑前のペット お部屋のホテルです。お部屋にゲージ有りで、周りに気お使わず過ごせました。ペット 側の客室に、専用の外出の出入り口があり、とても良いです。駐車場は、別で送迎ですがゲージにてバス乗れますが、初めにホテル前に降ろしてが良いでしょう！料理は、バイキングでしたが美味しかったです。温泉もしっとり系で良い！！
